DESIGN/BUILD DRAINAGE BASIN 1
NAVAL AIR STATION AND JOINT RESERVE BASE, NEW ORLEANS, LA
APC was contracted to perform the design and construction of drainage system improvements at the Naval Air Station and Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans (NAS/JRB).
APC spearheaded this design/build project, with a complete scope of work including re-grading conveyance ditches, lining conveyance ditches with concrete, removing sediment and debris build up, resetting culverts and storm sewer inverts, upsizing culverts and storm sewer systems, installing additional culverts and other related drainage improvements.
The drainage improvements for Basin 1 encompassed the area bound on the south by the Parish Canal, on the west by the area between Olsen Avenue and Rinard Road, on the east by the ditch directly east of Princeton Circle and on the north by Russel Drive. This project was performed within an active military installation with minimal impact to existing utilities and traffic patterns.
