GAINARD WOODS AND HAYES PUMP STATION REHABILITATION PROJECT

The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers contracted APC to perform upgrades to Gainard Woods and Hayes Pump Stations in lower Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.
The scope of work involved: clearing and stripping of vegetation, placement of concrete scour protection around sheet pile wall and pipe supports, demolition of existing pile founded pipe supports, pile caps and pump discharge pipe, driving concrete piles for new pipe supports, placement of concrete pipe support beams, installation of new 84” discharge pipes and discharge bells, installation of discharge pipe manholes, butterfly valves and check valves, installation of pneumatic lines, installation of electrical conduit, wiring and light fixtures and establishment of turf
