REPLACE 4.16KV OVERHEAD POWER LINES AND POLE MOUNTED TRANSFORMERS

SHIP REPAIR FACILITY, NAVAL BASE, GUAM

NAVFAC Marianas awarded APC a task order to replace 4.16kV overhead power lines and pole mounted transformers at the Ship Repair Facility at the Naval Base in Guam.

This design/build project included all pad-mounted transformers, pad-mounted 4-way VFI switch, 15 kV underground distribution, primary manholes and secondary handholes, 15kV #500MCM, #4/0 and #2 cables, PVC duct bank with #4/0 counterpoise ground wires, equipment concrete pad and CMU screen-block enclosures and equipment grounding systems.  The scope of work also included removal of 4.16KV overhead distribution system, pole mounted transformer, poles, fused disconnect switches, pole top switches, lightning arresters, wood cross arms with braces, grounding system at the SRF Facilities. All work was phased to allow the existing building occupants to remain in place with minimal impact to their operations.
