As the Senior Support Engineer of APC Construction, Scott provides engineering related guidance and support for our estimating and construction staff. Scott is a registered professional engineer and has over 33 years of geotechnical engineering experience for a wide range of projects, with particular emphasis on deep foundation design in the challenging soil conditions encountered along the Gulf Coast region.
Before the start of his engineering career, Scott served in the US Army’s 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment from 1983 to 1987. While serving in this elite unit Scott developed a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. These qualities have served as the foundation of his successful engineering career.
Prior to joining APC, Scott’s work history includes office manager and lead engineer for regional geotechnical firms as well as principal engineer for large global EPC firms. Scott maintains a keen interest in deep foundation design and is the primary inventor of APC’s patented Pressure Grouted Displacement Helical Pile system (TYGER Pile®) and also oversees the APC Cone Penetration Test (CPT) subsurface investigation program that is used to optimize existing deep foundation systems as well as to evaluate potential Value Engineering (VE)opportunities.
Scott’s considerable geotechnical experience and leadership brings great value to APC and our clients and are key to the growth of the company.
